Mindy Duncan, Founder, President and Director
Mindy Duncan is the Founder and Director of the Center for Psychosocial Organization Studies in Columbia, Missouri. She is also a Candidate in the Greater Kansas City Psychoanalytic Institute. She is a licensed as a professional counselor in the state of Missouri and is a practicing psychoanalytic psychotherapist. She has an MA in anthropology and a PhD in Public Affairs. Her research interests include the psychodynamics of management, behavioral health organizations, and organizational aesthetics. She has published papers in Parenting, Psychodynamic Practice, Organization, and the International Journal of Applied Psychoanalytic Studies. Mindy has been a member of the board since 2021.
Nathan Gerard, Vice President
Nathan Gerard is an Organizational Psychologist and Full Professor of Health Care Management at California State University, Long Beach. Nathan received his Ph.D. from Columbia University in Social-Organizational Psychology. Nathan also holds a master’s degree in Philosophy of Mental Disorder from King’s College London and a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Philosophy from Tufts University. Nathan held research posts at University College London and the Institute of Psychiatry, and was a visiting scholar at London Business School’s Center for Scientific Enterprise. Nathan’s research explores the evolving relationship between the individual and the organization, focusing on the intersection of Winnicott and organization studies. He also has an enduring interest in the intersection of psychoanalysis and critical theory. Nathan’s research has appeared in Organization Studies, Organisational and Social Dynamics, and Journal of Health Organization and Management among other outlets. Nathan has been a member of the board since 2021.
Sara Elias, Secretary / Treasurer
Sara Elias is an Associate Professor at the University of Victoria’s Peter B. Gustavson School of Business. She received a Master of Music degree in 2006 and an MBA in 2009, both from Missouri State University. Sara completed her Ph.D. in Business Administration in 2016 at the University of Missouri’s Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business. Sara’s research interests include creative entrepreneurial processes, entrepreneurial imagining, arts entrepreneurship, aesthetics in organizations and entrepreneurship, strategy and entrepreneurship as practice, and qualitative methodologies. Sara is Editor-in-Chief of the Scandinavian Journal of Management and is a member of the editorial boards of Art, Culture & Entrepreneurship and Organizações & Sociedade. Sara has been a Special Issue Co-Guest Editor at Qualitative Research in Organizations and Management. Sara has published in Organization Studies, Qualitative Research in Organizations and Management, Organizational Research Methods, and has a book chapter in The SAGE Handbook of Process Organization Studies. Sara has been a member of the board since 2021.
Linden Dalecki, Board Member
Linden Dalecki is an Associate Professor of Marketing at Pittsburg State University’s Kelce College of Business, former Chair of the Kansas International Trade Coordinating Council, and a Research Associate of the Center for Psychosocial Organization Studies. Linden holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. from the University of Texas and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin. Linden is a 4th Year Academic Candidate at the Greater Kansas City Psychoanalytic Institute where he serves as co-president of the Candidates’ Organization. Linden’s current research interests include psychosocial consumer behavior, social entrepreneurship, and leadership in extreme environments. Linden has published papers in Young Consumers, Journal of Integrated Marketing Communications, Journal of Research in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, Journal of Brand Strategy, and Journal of Consumer Satisfaction, Dissatisfaction and Complaining Behavior. Linden’s forthcoming research includes two co-authored book chapters focused on psychosocial aspects of social entrepreneurship and leadership in extreme environments. They will be published in Cultivating the Globally Sustainable Self, edited by Craig N. Shealy, Ph.D., Oxford University Press. Linden joined the board in 2025.
Scott Koeneman, Board member
Scott Koeneman, Psy.D., earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from George Fox University, graduating with the recognition of Most Outstanding Student. Scott holds an M.A. in Psychology from George Fox University and an M.A. in Counseling from Denver Seminary (2003). Scott earned a certificate in psychoanalysis at the Greater Kansas City and Topeka Psychoanalytic Institute in 2023. Scott has served as Associate Professor in the School of Behavioral Sciences and Counseling at MidAmerica Nazarene University from 2010 to 2018. Scott is a practicing psychologist and psychoanalyst at the Mend Center for Psychotherapy in Overland Park, KS. He specializes in helping men connect with their emotions, helping leaders in times of personal or professional crisis, therapy for therapists, issues of sexuality, and issues of faith and spirituality. He has presented his work at the Kansas Counseling Association and the Christian Association for Psychological Studies, and professional education to the Family Service and Guidance Center in Kansas. Scott joined the board in 2026.

Seth Allcorn
Seth Allcorn, Ph.D., M.B.A. is the former Vice President for Business and Finance at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine. He has served as a financial and administrative Assistant Dean at the Texas Tech School of Medicine and Associate Dean for the Stritch School of Medicine, Loyola–Chicago. He has also managed two departments of internal medicine for the University of Missouri–Columbia and University of Rochester. He has forty years of experience as an organizational consultant specializing in the management of change, strategic planning and organizational restructuring. Seth has served an advisory role since 2021.
Michael Diamond
Michael A. Diamond, PhD, is Professor Emeritus of Public Affairs and Organization Studies, University of Missouri, Columbia. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland in 1981. His more than 35 years of writing, teaching, and research are focused on the nexus of psychoanalysis, organizational politics and culture. Diamond was awarded the 1994 Harry Levinson Award for Excellence in Consulting Psychology from the American Psychological Association. He is a practicing organizational consultant working with public, private, and nonprofit organizations. He serves on the editorial boards of Psychoanalysis, Culture, & Society, Organisational and Social Dynamics, and Administration & Society. He is past-president and founding member of the International Society for the Psychoanalytic Study of Organizations (ISPSO), chief editor of Advances in Organizational Psychodynamics book series published by The University of Missouri Press (UMP), and he serves on the steering committee of the L.J. Gould Center for Systems-Psychoanalytic Studies of the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR) in New York. Michael joined the advisory board in 2026.
